Weekend Getaways
Just wondering where others recommend for 2-3 night weekend trips around Florida? We live in Brevard County and are looking for places that are no more than 3-4 hours of driving away, max. I would say the budget would be somewhere around $300-400. We have fun doing just about anything ....whether outdoors or indoors!

Our favorite weekend getaway location is Sanibel Island. You can even save some money and get a hotel room in Fort Myers, and drive to the island for the day.
I am a fan of Key West myself. I know the drive is a bit further than what you are after but it's worth it to me. At least once you get into the keys it is very scenic, that makes it a little less painful..lol. There is a good mix of activities down there.
If you are looking for something a little more exciting, Seminole Hardrock in Hollywood is fun. It's a little more of a wild weekend but it's almost like going to Vegas for the weekend.....a very small version of Vegas anyway. The rooms are nice and hanging out at the pool is a blast. There is alot more to do besides gambling. There is a section outside the casino with shopping, restaurants, bars, a comedy club, and dueling piano bar.
What about finding a last minute deal on a short cruise.
