I dont know....

hello everyone! My husband and I are wanting to have a baby and are very excited about it! I just have a few concerns... well 1 and my MAJOR one is that when my husband was born he had Hirschsprung's Disease...and it can be passed down to our child...were both really worried about that. Another thing (which isn't as big but) is that I have been on 100mgs of Zoloft for a very long time and I didnt know if that would decrease the chances of me getting pregnant or cause problems during pregnancy or if I should just get off them...im just scared because I have been on them for so long. I dont know what to do...any advice would help :) thanks ladys!

Re: I dont know....

  • Truthfully, I think the best person to ask these questions would be your ob/gyn. It sounds like you have some very real concerns, and these should definitely be addressed before you TTC. Good luck with everything.
  • I second that... talk to your medical professional. There are also nurse hotlines that could be accessed for quick questions in between appts.
  • I recently went to my doctor for the "pre ttc check up".  He told me if I was on any medications like Zoloft I would need to be taken off of them before getting pregnant.  I would do research at webmd.com for any pre doctor research then definitely check with your doctor!

    Good Luck!
