Wondering if anyone has used any pet sitting companies in Madison to watch their dogs. If so, who did you use, and what did you think of them?
I've got two golden retrievers and a couple of trips coming up. We used a pet sitter at our old place in Indiana, and aren't a big fan of kenneling, unless the place is EXTREMELY wonderful. Bar is pretty high for kennels, so we stick with pet sitting...

I don't really know about pet sitters, but I will say that the Ruffin' It Resort on the west side is pretty fabulous. They have all kinds of options -- from the more traditional set up to the Ambassador Suite (I think that's what it's called) where your dog sleeps in bed with the overnight manager. And they have daycare on site, dog massages, all kinds of stuff.
Just throwing it out there as an option in case the pet sitting doesn't work out. We've boarded our dog there twice, and he goes to daycare there quite a bit. He always seems to have a pretty good time... and he's not a dog who really enjoys being boarded so that's saying alot.
