8/18 back to school....

Since it's a fun time to reflect....

So, what did you do on your summer vacation?

This summer we celebrated our 1st anniversary on the Outer Banks. We sold our house and started building.  We went to the lake several times.  I worked a lot.  H took his third grad class and worked a bunch too.  Exciting enough for one year...

Re: 8/18 back to school....

  • didn't really have a vacation, DH was really sick in Feb and in the ICU for 2 weeks.. but during that time we realized that life is too short to wait around and not follow your dreams, so in August- we moved to Charleston from PA! We love it down here, and everyday is like a vacation :)

  • We didn't take vacation- we moved from Boston to Charleston :)

We did have a weekend with my whole family in Louisville in early June. That was fun.

  • We had a pretty bland summer.  We had an overnight trip to Asheville for the 4th of July.

I spent a weekend in ATL visiting a friend.

We went home to WV for a long weekend early in the summer.

Our real vacation this year is in November (ticker.)

  • Sigh, this was my first summer with no summer vacation. Last year I just started working in the middle of June, so I had a month after graduation to relax.

This summer was eventful I guess.

Dh and I made several trips with friends to Carowinds. As well as trips to Greenville to go to the park or to walk around downtown.

DH's cousin came in from Charleston for the 4th of July and we had a party here at the house.

We went back to WV to our friends' wedding and my sister's bridal shower in July

We really had a great summer and still have more things coming up =). We just wish we had more time to spend with each other.... stupid work =/.

  • My summer was too eventful to fit here (but feel free to check out my blogs)

some of the easier stuff to put is:

a trip to Helen to go tubing (had a BLAST)

a few day trips to Tennessee (took my 14 y/o nephew on one....lol he's hilarious)

might be going the end of this month and beginning of Sept (for my bday) to Edisto. EXCITED!

  • Nothing too exciting.  We went white water rafting and camping at the Ocoee with friends in July, went to Memphis to visit friends and pick up our wedding pictures from our photographer in August.  DH decided to go back to school and started back yesterday.
  • wedding in greensboro in jun, 4th of july at friend's house on lake hickory, family came to visit in charleston end of july, installed new corian kitchen countertops, installed tile backsplash, trip to wisconsin to visit with family in august...

  • We celebrated our first anniversary on Memorial Day weekend (May 24).  The next weekend we moved to Greenville in our first house.  We spent a lot of time unpacking and getting it the way we wanted it.  We spent July 4th weekend in Garden City with David's parents.  Later in July I went with my sister to spend a few days with our parents in Hilton Head.  Last week we went to Amelia Island, FL with David's parents, and my BIL and SIL.  School doesn't start in Pickens County until September 1, so my summer has been a little longer than usual.  I'm spending this week working on lesson plans.
