1) I thought I had a staff meeting this morning but I don't. Now I need to fill that extra hour with something.
2) I'm so happy to have my wife back home. I love our alone time but I did miss her.
3) My mom is already talking about the kind of grandmother she is going to be.
4) I had peanut butter and toast for breakfast and I'm hungry already.
5) I really need to find renters for my house or I'm in big trouble.
6) I have my office windows open because the AC is on full blast and I'm freezing.
7) Each time I get a text msg or a cell ph call the speakers on my computer make a funny noise.
8) I really really wish I was taking a vacation this summer.
9) I forgot to turn on my alarm last night so I was late this morning.
10) Coming up with these ten things took a big chunk of time out of that hour I needed to fill
I have no idea who this is.
1. I am going to dinner with a friend tonight and I am looking forward to it. I have had to cancel 3x this summer and so I am finally happy to go. I am also happy to have a Blue Moon with my dinner.
2. I hope I have time to stop at the Buy Buy Baby before dinner. I need another Baby Bjorn stool for the boys' bathroom. The cheap Target one slides all over the floor when they are standing on it to pee. Ugh. Plus, I love looking at all the baby stuff - even though I'll never need it again.
3. I think I am going to take the boys to Philly for a weekend this fall. Solo - while L works on her dissertation. I am both excited and nervous. We've never taken them away overnight by ourselves. But they'll have fun and it'll give L 36 hours of uninterrupted dissertation time.
4. I need to start planning our Saturday/Sunday mornings for the fall (when L works on her dissertation and I take the kids out of the house so she has some quiet time.)
5. I have actually done some good solid work yesterday and today. It felt good to be productive.
6. The weather is supposed to be awesome here this weekend (low 80s.) Ahhh.
7. I grilled pork chops last night and they were really good.
8. The boys LOVE their new toddler beds. LOVE them. But they look like such big boys in them that it makes me a bit sad. Where did my babies go?
9. I need to get back to blogging. I stopped and now it is just so overwhelming.
10. I really want to rent a vacation home on a lake in Maine for the summer. Maybe next summer?
it didn't make me sad, per se, just wishful that we could make babies together.
and i second freezing the bananas. i always peel and pre-measure them into freezer bags. when i'm ready to make bread i just pull out one bag, thaw it, and throw it in.
1. this is going to be a long week at work.
2. my wife and i had a really nice long talk last night. it's good to feel like we're on the same page.
3. i mowed the whole yard last night for the first time! it's been her job up until now (she really likes doing it) but it's too uncomfortable for her.
4. i had fun, even though it took me an hour to do. she may have to twist my arm to get the job back...unless it's really hot out. then she can do it.
5. omg, i can't believe she's in the third trimester! we have so much to do!
6. no one else would believe she was in the third trimester by looking at her. she's just now starting to wear maternity pants.
7. we have so much to do!
8. i want to look at baby stuff and add more things to our registry.
9. we have a family wedding this weekend. that should be interesting.
10. i forgot my lunch today.
1) Today is better than yesterday, but its still not great
2) I'm really looking forward to the end of this month: A's bday, our anniversary, and trip to chicago.
3) My boss is out of the office this week and somehow that makes me much more productive
4) Andrea's team lost their softball game last night which means they are done for the season. I was not so secretly thrilled.
5) I went to Dunkin this morning for coffee only b/c i had a gift card to use up. I got up to the counter, ordered my coffee, went to pay, only to realize that i left the card at home. darn it.
6) I made banana bread two days ago and plan to make another loaf tonight. we're giving the second one away :P
7) i'm going to come home to a perfectly clean, spotless house today. love.
8) its a working lunch kind of day
9) Now that the bachelorette is over, my new reality tv obsession is big brother. i'm rooting for jeff and jordon
10) I'm trying to convince andrea to add anabelle to the 'potential girl names' list

If we'd of had two girls, one of them would have been Anabelle. It was L's grandmother's name. I'd never seen it as a popular babies name, but have recently met 3 Anabelles all under age 4.

I always think of it as a less common name - we dont know any kids/adults named anabelle. I had never considered it before, but it came up when i was playing on nymbler and its really growing on me. plus it would have family significance for the initials.

1. I want it to be a week from now so I can find out if I'm pregnant.
2. C and I went to see Tori Amos last night and she was amazing!
3. We've gone to a lot of concerts this year, thinking that next year, we may not get to, as we will hopefully have an infant.
4. Is 3dpiui too early to test...? I kid, I kid! [;-)]
5. I know I complained all June and July about summer not being here - but now that we're in this heat wave... Ugh! Too hot!!
6. C is optimistic about try #1. I am not as optimistic (just because it's only #1), but still have hope and am really excited by the possibility, and just the fact that we are trying.
7. It's really humid today, so I'm wearing my hair curly.
8. I still haven't finished putting out guest room back together since our painting/re-do. I'm close...but those last few things...
9. I can't say how thrilled I am that C and I have NOTHING planned this weekend! Maybe we'll go to the movies! I love free time!!
10. Okay, seriously - is it next Tuesday yet????

My boss knew before my parents, too. Heck, my boss knew I was in the ER b/c of the babies and I still don't think my parents know.

Stephanie Brill is the author of The Essential Guide to Lesbian PRegnancy Conception and Birth. Great book but some of her pcp suggestions left me in a tizzy!
the only name on Julie and I's list for girls is Adelaide. It's similar to annabelle only more unique. :-)
