First speeding ticket...
So, I got my first speeding ticket today...I was coming back from the outlets in Lancaster and thought I'd take the back road shortcut to bypass Dutch Wonderland traffic at Witmer Road, one because I did not want to sit in traffic, and two, I really had to pee. Well, I was just about to Old Phila Pike and there go the lights on an undercover cop car. I went to the ole glove box to get out all the necessary stuff, hands shaking, realized that all of the info is expired from registration to insurance card, then went to get my license out, its not in my wallet. So i hand over all my stuff to the officer, shaking, on the verge of tears, embarrassed as all get out. He took the stuff to his car, I break down. He comes back with 2 tickets for me, speeding, and expired registration. I asked my DH to register the car months ago when I realized it was expired, I had thought he did it. He handles all the car stuff. So, my morning sucked. I mean, I was definitely speeding, but obviously was not paying attention. Its a little amish road, who would have thought. I cried the whole way home and still feel pretty crappy. Stupid speeding. I should have just stuck it out in the traffic. Grr.

ugh that sucks. i got caught in a speed trap last september in springettsbury twp. they had like, 6 cars lined up along the road. it was right where rt 30 drops from 55 to 40. i was doing 69. oops.
i learned though. and i am proud to say that i have never "purposely" gone more than 5 miles over the limit since then. i dont want to pay that fine again.
Ah yes, speeding tickets. This used to be part of my yearly budget! I'm sorry about your day. That was pretty crappy of him to give a ticket to a crying pregnant woman! Hope you have a better day tomorrow!
