I've never been to the beaches in Chicago, though I've lived inthe suburbs all my life & every summer I say I want to go. It's intimidating - I don't know where to park, how much, for how long are you allotted? Which beach(es) should we go that have bathrooms & concessions nearby? What time does the parking get filled up by?
Any help you can give would be great, thanks!
Re: Chicago Beach help
There is a parking lot by North Ave. It's typically busy so you have to get there early. I believe the fee is determined by how long you are there. Castways and restrooms are right there. You can also park at the zoo and walk.
Oak street is also nice. There is a restaurant there as well. Can't remember the name. Not so sure about the parking though.
Ready for summer!
