I am glad Facebook was not around
when I was a teenager. I cringe at the emo relationship status updates. An excerpt from a cousin of mine (15):
"i'm sick and tired of your attitude. i'm feeling like idk you. you tell me that you love me then you cut me down. and i need you like a heartbeat but you know you got a mean streak makes me run for cover when you're around and here...9;s to you and your temper yes, i remember what you said last night and i know that you see what you're doing to me tell me, why?"
Of course, I could probably go back and find old diaries of mine and read the same thing. But at least they weren't public!
Re: I am glad Facebook was not around
My younger cousin is like this and it drives me insane. She is so emo and every post is drama filled. I too have diaries of torchure and teen angst so I am with ya! Thank god it's not out for the internet to see!
How bad is it that I know it's the lyrics from a Taylor Swift song? Am I still allowed to post on this board?
Anyway, yeah I totally know what you mean. You should take a screenshot of that page and include it with a b-day card for your cousin when she turns 25
Cheesy.
But not so bad because they aren't her own words. Who hasn't quoted a song before?
I am impressed and frightened by you, Pocky.
My 2 litttle SIL's are on FB and friends with H. I have not added them and they have not added me and I'm totally ok with that.
I don't want to see their teenage angst. I dont' have a filter. (ok I have one, I just struggle with mine.)
i don't know if i can see you today anymore.
i have an angsty blog like that from when i was, um, still a teenager but much older than 15. and it's still floating around out there. maybe it's time to take it down.
1. THANK GOD there was no fb when I was in hs.
2. About 50% of my status updates are song lyrics.
3. At least she used you're correctly.
OMG, the FB status update was making me laugh and cringe at the same time.
Now I?m laughing because they are Taylor Swift song lyrics, ha. Too funny. I guess that?s not too terrible, but still emo-esque.
I Taylor Swift, too.
Her eyes scare me, though.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
I like her songs.
Her dancing is painful to watch though.
Seriously?! Who are you! I started singing the Taylor Swift song after the first line!
that sounded like a cheesy song...at least I couldn't name it though!
props to you, pocky. I think.
