Hey ladies. Where are all of the pregnant girls? I just thought I would start a check in. Let us know what is going on, how you're feeling, what you still have left to do, etc.
I have 23 days until my c-section and only 10 more days of work after today. WOO HOO! My maternity leave replacement is doing all of my work so needless to say the days have gotten VERY LONG for me. And my sciatica is so bad it is getting harder and harder to sit here all day.
I caught a cold from Rylie and now I think I have bronchitis. I'm going to my doc today so hopefully I can get a z-pack and start feeling better this weekend. This sucks.
I've been going to the doctor twice a week for a few weeks now for NSTs. Bryce never cooperates so I have to sit there longer than the original 20 minutes. Whatever. It gives me something to do.
Bryce's room is finished. Brian did such a great job (again)! I'll hopefully have some pictures up this weekend. Now I just have to go through all of my shower gifts and figure out what "necessities" we still need and get everything washed and put away.
I can't believe I'm almost done! This pregnancy was so much harder on me than the last one. And this is it for us. I'm so happy that I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I hope all of the other mommies to be are doing well. I hope to hear from you all!!!
Re: Moms to be - check in!
Sorry you are in so much pain! Sciatica sucks. I had to stay home 4 weeks before my EDD, b/c I couldn't even walk from my car to the classroom, much less walk around a classroom all day.
I did the NSTs 2x/week too. Ainsley rarely cooperated, but at least I got and U/S out of it and could see her often!
Yay for Brian! Can't wait to see pics of his room.
The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter... it's almost here! Keep us updated!!
Sorry to hear that you're sick, Leela, but you're getting close!
I'm doing well...I have 9 weeks to go, and don't feel anywhere near ready. I'm at the point where I can't slouch anymore because the baby's head is right under my ribcage, and I get kicked in the pelvis and in the butt a lot. Hoping the baby flips around sometime before he's ready to come out.
Hubs is painting the baby room this weekend, and we'll start putting the room together after that.
We just finished Lamaze classes, where we were horrible about practicing our breathing techniques. Hubs kept making me laugh, which made him laugh, and we had trouble controlling ourselves. The class was really informative on options during labor, which I didn't know much about, so that was good to know.
Eh, don't worry about that. When I was actually in labor, I had honestly forgotten everything I had learned about breathing at our Lamaze class. You'll find your own way to cope. And if you get an epidural, none of that will really matter anyway.
And hey Shannon! I don't see you around here much. Heck, I don't see anyone around here much anymore. I hope all is going well with your little ones!!!
Hello ladies. :-) I have 12 weeks to go and so far so good. I just feel squished all the time. The baby is kicking a lot, but my husband still can't feel it too much yet. (he has no patience, but that is a whole other story) My doctor said today I'm having a "unremarkable pregnancy" and that's just what I want (he says). So all is good there.
We hired a contractor to build our office that my BIL was supposed to come do, and then once that's done we will get the baby's room going. I still have to make the bedding set for both boy and girl and cover the glider cushions. So much to do stil....agh!!
Working 4 10 hour shifts is getting to be a challenge. My limit is about 8 1/2 hours and I just start to hurt in my ribs.
:-( I was planning on working until the end....but I don't know if that will happen.
I like the idea of a check in on here. GL to everyone else!
Haven't been on in a while, but I'm half way there with baby #2.
Things are doing good lately, only thing to complain about is the crotch discomfort
Good idea about a check in and good luck to you!
PS: Where does everyone live? Would love to join or start a playgroup for fall/winter 09 babies!
Ponder-ing whether or not to become a Viking's fan
6 weeks to go and counting! If the swelling went down and she wasn't so far into my ribs it wouldn't be too bad but its killing me right now. :-(
I hope everyone is doing well!
