Hi, I don't think I've ever posted here but I lurk. I have a question that I think would be best answered on the SD board. My house keeps showing up on Zillow as being listed for sale, but its not for sale. I've done the "claim my house thing" and then its listed again a few days later. It doens't seem to be listed on MLS so I'm not really worried about it being listed, but what is going on? Is some SD MLS corporation trying to price fix my neighborhood? Should I be worried? Should I do anything about this or just leave it? TIA!
Re: my house is not for sale
So I never post either-- but my realtor gave us a TON of insight into Zillow. . . hope this helps.
Zillow is definitely not an accurate portrayl of anything. Did you buy your house in the last year or so? Zillow uses many data banks (county, tax, etc) to create its estimates-- It may be pulling from old tax or county records. Zillow is widely famed for being inaccurate. I would not worry about it since it isn't in the MLS. Even if someone said "hey, let's look at that house" a realtor would quickly discover it isn't for sale when going to look it up in the MLS or RLS.
Hope that helps.
