Bachelorette party help

For my (and my most of my friend's) bachlorette party(ies) we have taken OOT trips.  I'm a MOH next month, and I need to throw a bachelorette party - we aren't able to do the OOT thing this go-round.

I have loose plans to go to Newport - probably both Arnie's and Jefferson Hall.  But I'm looking for ideas to make this party more special than just an average 'girls night out'.

So, I'm looking to you lovely ladies for some inspiration.  What did you for your bachelorette party?  Or what have you done for a friend's party that was really fun?  Ideas for themes, games, food, etc. are welcome.

TIA!

Re: Bachelorette party help

  • You could go to a Reds or Bengals game as a starting point.

You could go ride the bull at Cadillac Ranch.

You could find one of those pole-dancing classes.

Or private group yoga class (I can recommend someone).

  • What about going to a comedy club?

  • My girls got a suite at Garfield Suites, we had a PR party, then gifts, then bar hopped to Cadi Ranch to ride the bull and get tons of free shots from ppl..(needless to say i didn't stay on the bull to long) lol...Then Havana Martini club for more drinks and dancing..and finally Black Finn which was soooooo FUNNN it was a  very fun packed night that lasted until about 3..then we passed out something bad..I had a blast though and would do it allll OVER AGAIN!!!! Sorry I tend to relive that night a lot...
  • The last bachlorette party I planned:  I bought a ($35) wedding dress from David's Bridal for her to wear.  She yelled at me at first, but actually *wanted* to wear it later for her 2nd bach. party.  We also had a psychic come to give everyone a reading before going out.  That was fun.  We used Victor Paruta, I think it cost about $15/person.  Then of course we went out bar hopping.
  • My friends all pitched in and got us hotel rooms.  They made a bunch of food and brought beers and we had a Pure Romance consultant come to the hotel.  We had a "fun party"....it was a great time and pretty funny!  We then went out for something to eat.  We took a cheap limo to piano bar downtown and stayed there all night drinking.

Overall it was a really fun evening.  I think I cried at the end because I didn't want it to be over (I'm sure the alcohol didn't help).

I'd highly recommend getting someone from Pure Romance to come do a party though.  It was a blast!  Our lady asked us how wild we wanted it to be on a scale of 1-10, so you can determine what's best for your group.

     HTH!

  • Hamburger Mary's just opened back up downtown :)

I completely agree with pp suggesting having a Pure Romance Party at home  (they may come to a hotel also, if you want to spend a night somewhere).  Make a lot of food or get it catered, make it themed, and then afterwards maybe go out to your fave bar :)  Pure Romance is a ton of fun!!!

  • The 80s themed bachelorette parties seem like fun to me.  I've seen pics from a few and they look like a blast.  I always love getting a party bus too.  The Peterman buses are fairly inexpensive.

I'm not a fan of Newport on the Levee for a night out so we have been going to Lodge Bar and Black Finn for Bachelorette parties.  They both have specials and will reserve tables for your party.  I think Lodge Bar does a free round of shots, drink specials and free champagne.  Black Finn will reserve a table, offer drink specials, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.  It is a good starting point and from there you could go to Cadillac Ranch and ride the bull and dance.
