We had a good, lazy weekend.
Friday we went out to eat and went window shopping to get some decorating furnishing ideas for the house.
Saturday we slept in and then went to some local gardens. We went out to eat with the ILs to celebrate the house and then played cards with them.
Yesterday we went to a baseball game after church. We got there early and were selected to be the Nebraska Lottery people which meant we won 30 scratch tickets if a Royals player hit a homerun. Someone did and we ended up winning 11 dollars. They also got 10 hits so we won free bowling so we made out pretty good considering we didn't pay for tickets.

We had a good weekend.
Friday we went downtown and listned to a band playing in the park for our town's celebration.
Saturday was kind of a lazy day.
Sunday I had kids from school in the parade, so that ate up a big part of Sunday, but it was a lot of fun!

Ours was supposed to be low-key but ended up being insane... let's just say that Saturday night, we ended up getting kicked out of a strip club lobby... lol. One of our friends was with a huge bachelorette party that night and her bf came out with DH and I and another friend. When the party was over, we were going to go get her from the club before their party bus left because it was closer to our house so that her bf wouldn't have to drive all the way back to where he dropped her off (25 minutes away). Long story short, someone that was with us when we were picking her up got lippy with the door girls at the club and we all got thrown out of the lobby.
We just waited for our friend to come out and we headed back to our place. It was a crazy night.
Friday was fun - we played Tetris Party with SIL and her FI.
Yesterday, we pretty much lazed allll day. I made my famous mac & cheese for dinner and we watched movies.
Pretty lax.
Friday we went to a local brewhouse for dinner.
Saturday we celebrated H's grandma's 85th birthday and their 64th wedding anniversart (they got married the day after her b-day).
Sunday nothing really.
Good. Friday we made pizza and played WOW.
Saturday we went to a car show and both got some sun [but no peeling, woo hoo!!] and then made dinner at my parents' house.
Yesterday I did laundry, made dinner and vacuumed. Then we watched our wedding movie. Fun stuff

Mine was good! I went to Pittsburgh for the first time since the wedding. I got to spend some time with my parents as well as my MOH and her family.
I also found a great side table at an antique show which I'm really excited about. It looks great in the house! I also started researching ideas for our kitchen remodel, which we plan to start when DH gets home.
Really nice. Friday night it poured rain, so we stayed in and were lazy... until we got a knock on the door from a security company offering to install a free wireless security system. Only expense is a monthly fee to stay connected to police, fire, and rescue. So about an hour later, we had a new home security system. We just felt bad for the guys who were working so late that night.
Saturday, we were lazy around the house until I went to hang out with a good friend for the rest of the day/night. Saw "Julie & Julia", got dinner and drinks, and chatted for hours. Meanwhile, H went to see "GI Joe" by himself.
Sunday, slept in and read half the day, then a different friend came over for dinner. Again with sitting and chatting for hours, catching up on stuff. Good times!
TTC #1 since January 2013
We did some HM shopping--can't wait to leave! We also saw Julie and Julia and really liked it, both Mike and I, that is. We went out for almost every meal this weekend and had some of the worst waitstaff we've ever had. Hopefully, we will sit in someone else's area next time we visit said establishments. We also tried to go to the bank to get approved for a home loan, but evidently they don't do it there--ummm ok. It was just a cuddly weekend mainly, other than the above.
Laurel, we went to Pitts. last weekend!
My Mom came to visit on Thursday and on Friday we completely overhauled our back yard (if you can call it that). While we were working on it, I fell off of our 5 ft. retainer wall onto concrete, injuring my back. Not fun but the yard looks a lot better! Mom and I went out to eat some yummy southern cooking and then she had to leave.
Saturday, I worked almost all day then came home and hung out with the hubbs all night.
Sunday, DH and I went to see District 9 which he was dying to see! It was pretty good. Not my kind of movie but I enjoyed it.
Interesting weekend overall.
I'm jealous of all you ladies who are buying houses, moving and decorating! DH is trying to get in med school, I still can't find a full-time job and we're kind of stuck in limbo. Don't forget how lucky y'all are!
Friday night our best friends (my bestie is married to DH's bestie) came over and told us that they are expecting! We are so excited and so happy for them since she has a lot of medical problems and nobody thought she could get pregnant. It was wonderful news! Then we went to dinner and to see Inglorious Basterds (VERY good movie, but VERY long).
Saturday we went to the funeral of another friend's sister. It was one of the saddest things ever. I cried the whole way through. That night we went back to our best friend's house for a cookout with a bunch of folks.
Sunday my brother and his roommate came up from Auburn and got some more of our furniture and a grill that we don't want anymore for their house.
All in all it was a very busy, but exciting weekend!

On Friday, I cooked dinner, then DH went somewhere with a friend while I worked on lesson plans and other paperwork for school.
On Saturday, DH went golfing with some friends (he finally used the gift certificate I gave him for the wedding). I stayed home to do laundry and finish lesson plans. Later, we got together with some friends to go to dinner and then went to a bar to see a band.
On Sunday, DH cut the grass. Then we went do some errands. We finally cleaned and organized our office. Then DH packed to leave for business until Friday.
Nothing exciting happened!
Saturday I finally chopped off my hair. The I hung out at my Dad's and went swimming for hours. Spent the whole day with family, sans my hubby. He has been so busy customizing a crib to be handicap accessible for a family member of ours who is in a wheelchair.
Sunday hubster delivered said crib so I lazed around all day watching Harry Potter movies. I missed him all weekend so I am already looking forward to spending next weekend together.
