CO nestie looking for Nashville help
Some of my friends and I are taking a girls trip to Nashville next month. We are hoping to stay in the downtown-ish area. Does anyone know anything about the Loews Hotel, Union Station Hotel, or The Hermitage Hotel? We don't want to stay in a normal chain hotel and these three stuck out. Any good/bad things about any of them? Thanks!
Re: CO nestie looking for Nashville help
The Hermitage is the best hotel in town, hands down. So if you want to go all out that's definitely your place. Union Station is also nice and less expensive. Both of those are right downtown and in walking distance of all the bars and major downtown attractions.
The Loews is also nice, but a bit further toward Midtown and definitely not within walking distance of anything (except Vanderbilt U). You would have to take a cab everywhere.
Have fun!
IMO Union Station is a beautiful building but I was not impressed when I stayed there after my wedding. The rooms were kind of blah and the staff wasn't overly great. The room was very, very over priced.
I know that the Hermitage Hotel is really nice but I have never stayed there.
Lowes Vanderbilt is really great and their Sunday brunch is awesome (They actually have a wonderful menu all the time). The hotel has always seemed very nice when I have visited.
hope this might help!
Although I've never stayed there, I've also heard great things about the new-ish boutique hotel "Hotel Indigo." Its not within walking distance of downtown, but is close! (comparable to Lowe's)
