Are we still doing the selling stuff thing here?

I have a white changing table with a drawer and 2 shelves. I can also include the contour changing pad and 2 lavendar pad covers.

I also have several tubs of misc baby girl clothes, sizes everything from newborn to 4T.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

TIA ladies!

Anna

Re: Are we still doing the selling stuff thing here?

  • Hey Anna.  Have you ever tried selling the clothes to Once Upon A Child?  I took one tub of Rylie's baby clothes there and got $115 for them.  I have about 10 more tubs to take one of these days!  I just wanted to throw that out there for you...

  • LeeAnn...really???? How do they determine the value? That's awesome. I have so many tubs of clothes and toys and all sorts of crap that I am saving in case I ever (God help me) have another boy. But right now having the money, and all the crap out of my house, would be WONDERFUL!
  • ebi...I got almost $100 when I took a snap and go(which was only about $15 of it) and a bunch of clothes there. I think the general rule of thumb if the item is in perfect condition is they will sell it for 50% of what it retails and they give you 25-35% of that. They are pretty selective on what they will take and it also depends on the season and how much they have of what you are trying to sell them.

  • I'm not sure how they determine the value, but it seemed to me like it was way more than I would get at a garage sale so I accepted their offer.  But like Debi said, they really are picky about what they take.  They want everything to look brand new (so no way I could sell a lot of what she is wearing now) and at the time they were only taking summer outfits.  Once they start taking fall outfits I'm going to take more stuff.  They will buy toys, strollers, bouncers, etc. too.

  • I just went to Once Upon a Child last week and got a bunch of onsies and sleepers for $20...maybe a dollar each or something.

I'll save anyone a trip if they want to share any gender neutral clothing?
I'll put blue on a girl, but not pink on a boy if that makes sense....so anything white/green/yellow or just plain-ish looking in other colors.

I'm in Avalon Park and could meet up on most Fridays or weekends to give you some $$ for whatever you want to get rid of. :-) (I'm trring to be green (eco) as possible.) :-)

  • We tried to sell a bunch of stuff at O.U.C. and got next to nothing.  Personally, I thought our stuff was in super good shape.  We didn't take their offer on several larger items, and only sold them a few clothes, which as I said were in great shape, for next to nothing.  Personally, I would have said no to everything, but DH was taking care of it for me, and he didn't really know.
