have you read anything by augusten burroughs (of running with scissors fame)? I picked up dry at the library and absolutely loved it. I've read a few of his books but I think this one is my fav.

definitely effed up. I had a hard time getting over Pooh pooping under the piano. Then my friend described some other portions of the book and I was done.

I have not read any of his stuff. I have Running With Scissors at home, but I haven't read it yet.
