My sister has now kicked all four of her bridesmaids out of the wedding (except me), and now no one is speaking. She is Exhibit A of "why not to ditch your bridal party unless you want to ruin friendships forever".
Stay tuned for the next episode of "The Next Sixteen Months of Hell".

Re: SURPRISE!
Can we have a thuper thecret blog dedicated to sis's wedding planning adventures? I'll be a loyal follower.
Why did she pick a WP 16 months out anyway???!!

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better!
BTW, I'll go ahead and send my condolences now that she didn't kick you out too...
I know that was your only dream.
Hahahahahahahahahahaha (breathe) hahahahahahahahahaha.
Oh dear. This may be my new favorite weekly program. Who needs General Hospital?
And, uh, mamie...I picked my wedding party 14 months out...and they all stayed, and are all still my friends....
Lucy Elizabeth 10.27.12
Haha, I know. Very true, indeed.
I was SO bad in TK world -- I asked all four of mine the day I got engaged. In fact, within mere seconds of saying "yes". Like, it went like this:
Shawn: Colette, will you please be my wife?
Me: Yes! Ohmygodohmygodohmygod YES! (*insert gushing/more rambling*)
(Kisses, hugs for family who was present....cut to 30 seconds later):
Me (on the phone): I'm engaged! Will you be my bridesmaid? (x4)
SBS, that's so cute. I love how polite S was in his proposal by including "please."
I probably avoided this because I was a knot lurker before I was engaged (yeah yeah I know) and knew of the unspoken "wait to ask your BM" rule.

Classic... sorry she didnt kick you out too.
SBS - I did exactly the same thing - somehow we all made it 17 months

haha wow. somehow I kinda figured something like this was going to happen after reading your stories but I thought they would at least have already bought their dresses before she kicked anyone out!
I guess you being her sister made you exempt from the great BM firing?
No. Effing. Way.
I chose my BP 18 months out, kicked out my MOH (stupid wh0re skankk biitch slvt cvmdumpster trashy mctrashhole - needless to say, we are no longer friends) at 10 months out, and then asked 2 others to share the honor, which they did and we all lived happily ever after. But, I can see why asking so far out can be drahhhhhhhmatic.
hah, sounds like something my little sis would do. thank god she isnt engaged (yet). lol.
I also asked my bridal party more than a year in advance (but i chose people ive been friends with for over 10 yrs, so i was pretty confident about it...)
...and I'd totally subscribe to that blog too!!!
