Chicago baby sitter services?
I'm a Houston nestie coming into town for a no kids wedding next weekend and our baby sitter lead just fell through. Does anyone know of a good sitter service? I'd prefer one that does background checks and screens their sitters since I don't have a personal recommendation from someone I know. Thanks!

sittercity.com is a good place to go--you can meet and screen your sitter before you hire them. It's the only service I know of.
What hotel are you staying at? They might have references or be able to give you a recommendation based on where they're located.

I used to babysit through her service quite a bit in the past. She requires criminal background checks and references for all of her babysitters. She can send a babysitter to hotels or anywhere else near the city.
