Ok, so I searched the web for an answer to my question and was not successful, so I thought I would try my old friend the Nest. This is concerning washing bath towels. Sounds like a strange topic, but this is driving me crazy. The last 2 sets of bath towels I have bought (one purple, one light green) have come out of the wash with what looks like bleached out spots on them even though I don't use bleach. This happened over the first few times I washed them. Basically, it's like the color is coming out or just kind of fading in some spots. I am just using regular liquid detergent with color safe bleach (not Tide as it is so expensive). The only other factor in this is that I use Proactive on my face and thought maybe there is a chance that that is having something to do with it. Maybe some sort of reaction with the proactive and the detergent? Anyone else with that problem or with a helpful tip. I want to get new brown towels but am afraid I will just ruin them right away.
