Hi ladies! I'm a Vegas nestie with a recently engaged sister who lives in the Portland area. I've been helping her plan her big day because I've been through it and kinda know what to look for with the contracts, locations, amenities included, etc. Anyway, my sister has been eyeing the ecotrust in Portland. I've searched the knot (don't want to search too hard since she's a new knottie and I'd hate to invade her space!) and yahoo just looking for pictures of weddings at ecotrust or info/reviews from girls who have been wed there and I've come up with absolutely nothing. I figured I should check the nest and see if perhaps anyone was married there or has been to a wedding there and can give an honest opinion on the location, the ceremony and reception set up, etc. Also, she is considering having her reception at ecotrust and her wedding outdoors somewhere nearby. Any suggestions for locations for the wedding, if not at the ecotrust?
Thanks again! You ladies helped me with some restaurant recommendations about a year ago and you were right on, so I figured this would be the perfect spot to once again seek some advice!
Re: longshot...ecotrust?
i haven't been to a wedding at ecotrust, but the building looks great. and the location can't be beat.
as for outdoor wedding locations nearby, here are a few ideas. both tanner springs park and jamison square are nearby. you would have to check with portland parks and rec to see if you can reserve these spots for weddings. i had my wedding ceremony at portland classical chinese gardens which is also nearby.
i just did a quick search on flickr and these pictures popped up http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=ecotrust%2C+portland
perfect, thanks so much. The pics are great. It never occurred to me to check flickr. Thanks again!
By the way, she loves the rose garden. It's definitely a contender!
