Hello from NorCal, ladies!
I'll be visiting NYC in October on a three-day trip with my BFF, and she's put me in charge of food. What are some of the "You can't visit Manhattan without eating HERE!" places you'd recommend?
Some high-end are OK, but probably mostly mid-range prices would be best. Thanks!!
Oh, and I think we're staying at the Sheraton Towers on 7th and 54th (I think that's what it is, anyway). Or in SoHo. She's making the reservations and can't make up her mind. Pretty sure she wants to be near Times Square, though!
Re: Visiting in October
Hm...well you definitely can't miss Katz's Deli on Houston (just north of Soho). It's the deli where that scene from When Harry Met Sally was filmed.
It gets a little crowded and confusing, so maybe go at an 'off' time. http://www.katzdeli.com/
Junior's is another NYC place. They're supposed to have really amazing cheesecake, and there's one in Times Square and Grand Central; http://www.juniorscheesecake.com/
Other than that, everything is good and pretty expensive. Some restaurants i love personally;
