Thai and German restaurants

Anyone know what the great Thai and German restaurants in the area are?  I'd love to find something here!

Re: Thai and German restaurants

  • For Thai, I love Mai Lee on Delmar, just east of 170. There are also a ton on Delmar in the Loop. The King and I is on Grand, east of Tower Grove Park and it has won a zillion reader's choice awards. As for German, I can't help you there but G&W is a fantastic German sausage company off Kingshighway, east of Arsenal. They make all the brats for Grant's Farm. If you haven't already, check out www.saucemagazine.com for all St. Louis restaurant news and reviews and info.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Mai Lee is Vietnamese and Chinese.  At least it was when I used to live by it.  It could have changed since then, but I don't think so.

  • Oooh, you're right. Either way, it's really good food!

  • Manee Thai in Manchester is good.  Lots of good Thai on Delmar.

German -- we like Dreamland Palace in Foster Pond IL as well as St. Charles Vintage House on South Main.  We also like the Feasting Fox on Grand (2 businesses north of Ted Drewes)

  • Another vote for King and I.  It is delish!
