So we're having a big shabang for hubs tomorrow.
Having about 65 people there tomorrow and I'm in charge of the cake.
I'm a last minute slacker of course on this and will be ordering today. Do you think that's enough time?
Also- Not everyone eats cake. Should I get a cake big enough to feed 65 people?!? (that's a lot of cake!) I mean it's probably better to have more than not enough but I am afraid of ending up with a ton left over. (or in the trash)
Should I just get enough for 50 ppl? 40 even?
I am also half temped to just make the cake myself.. .I'm a decent baker. Should I not risk it and just order it? Yikes. WWYD?
Re: How hard could it be?
Yea I thought about costco... that's definately the most affordable way to go but they don't make em look.. cute ya know? I was thinking of making one in the shape of a beer mug or something.
Maybe I can buy one there and re- frost and shape
Also I fear my Costco membership may have expired...
i'm not gonna lie, dude - i'd just make it myself. baking cakes is really super easy, and especially if you just buy a boxed cake mix.
Agree. I'm a big fan of cupcakes, you can tier them or make a design, they are easy to eat, you can have different flavors and they are oh so easy to send out the door with your guests.
probably too late, but my sister and I made this cake for my mom the other day. I am not a fan of yellow cake, but this thing was ah.may.zing! and not terribly difficult.
