HI Nesties!

Aloha ladies! I am not a local...or a nestie yet!  I am actually honeymooning in Maui, and was looking for maybe some suggestions of good things to do, places to go, restaurants.  Maybe even some places that are overrated where we shouldnt go?

I asked on the knot board, but most of the ladies that get married in Maui aren't from there.  So I wanted to check with you ladies!

Thanks in advance!

-Brittney

  • Aloha!

I live in OK and planned our our 2007 DW in Hawaii from CA.  We were married in Kauai and then spent 5 days "minimooning" in Maui.  Reviews in my Married Bio (linked in my siggy) of what we did and where we dined.  HTH!

  • You should definitely take a trip to Paia.  It is a small town just before the road to Hana starts and it is really lovely--nice restaurants, good gelato places.  Very relaxed and non-touristy kind of feel.  I grew up in Honolulu but  live on the East Coast now but we were married on Oahu and honeymooned in Maui.  We stayed at the Four Seasons in Wailea which was really really nice, but EVERYTHING in Wailea is super expensive.  The restaurants are way overpriced.  If I had to do it all over again we probably would have travelled away from Wailea to eat more, and had better or the same quality meals for less.  One of the best things we did was go on a kayaking/snorkeling trip which was amazing!  I highly recommend this.  But definitely go to Paia one day if you don't have the time to go all the way to Hana.
  • We really enjoyed Lahaina Grill.
