Salon recommendations?

Hi all,

My husband son and I just moved to the area. We're very close to Tanglewood. I'm looking for suggestions for a hair stylist, esthetician,  and nail salon. Anything y'all have to share I'd be grateful.

Thanks,

Ang

Re: Salon recommendations?

  • hey there!  welcome to sd!  mh & i moved here a year ago this august from the twin cities.

i'm not much help w/ what you're looking for.  i went to a stylist for 3 haircuts. . . just wasn't doing it for me.  i haven't had a haircut since the beginning of december! :(   this girl behind me in target had fabulous hair.  so i'm giving them a try.  the salon is called fresh~ 619.692.0097
1725 monroe ave, 92116.  it's in the north park area. i have no clue if that's in your area @ all.  that's why i gave you the address.

we do have an awesome vet & we like our doctor.  let me know if you'd like their names.

  • Most of my people are North County Inland.

My friend Lauren does hair at Aura Salon and Day Spa in Carmel Valley.  Its an Aveda Concept Salon.  She specializes in color and she is trying to build up her  local clientele (she used to work in Florida).  They do have a website but for some reason its not loading right on my comp.  Here is the contact info.

13859 Carmel Valley Rd STE C
    SAN DIEGO, CA 92130
    858-538-1453

For waxing and facials, I can recommend Erin at Zenbi Salon in Carmel Mountain Ranch. http://www.zenbisalon.com/

As for nail salons...I have no loyalty because we have an over abundance of them out here and they are all reasonably cheap.  For the cost of a basic manicure at most "upscale" salons, you can get a spa manicure and pedicure at your local nail place.
