Hey there St Louis Nesties! My husband and I want to attend a Cards game the weekend of July 4th. Clearly this was a last minute decision and the only available tickets are standing room only. Is there a place that we can buy tickets from season ticket holders that do not plan to attend the games (the Yankees have a website like this but I couldn't find one for the Cards)? Also.......can any of you all recommend a nice hotel (preferrably with a pool)?
TIA, Staci
Re: OK Nestie Question
I would check here:

Just put "4th of July" in the search section - it popped up with a lot!
Let me check with my friend he sometimes has extra tickets!
Are you wanting to stay DOWNTOWN or NEAR downtown?
There are some really nice hotels that are not downtown but within a 15 - 20 minute drive. You probably wouldn't have much luck getting a room on the 4th Downtown. That is when we hold the VP Fair and it is crazy mad down there!
Try searching Hampton Inns in St. Louis, Days Inn in St. Louis or just Hotels in St. Louis.
Here is the website the offical Cards site recomends. http://www.stubhub.com/st-louis-cardinals-tickets/?gcid=C12289x836
There looks like alot of options for you on there. GL!
Yes, you can go to stubhub.com, those are all the season ticket holders....
Have fun!!
Or, go to stlcardinals.com and click tickets. i think it will link you to stubhub as well (just in case i have the address wrong, above).
There is a place (not stubhub) where season ticket holders sell their tickets, but you have to pay to join--not worth it if you're only here for a weekend. You'll be able to find something on stubhub.
As for hotels, the Westin and the Ballpark Hilton are the two closest to the park. Both are really nice hotels, but I'm not sure about the pool situation. There's also the Drury Inn at 4th and Market (there are multiple Drury Inns downtown) that is close to the stadium and very nice. You could also look into the Sheraton--just one Metrolink stop from the stadium.
