What is your evacuation plan, if you have one?
Maybe I am over preparing, but I'd rather have some idea of what the norm is so that we can all stay together.
TIA!
Re: Hurricane question
just figuring out where you would need to drive to leave the city (if all goes according to plan). i think our exit route is up hwy 61 to summerville. we have family in the nc mtns so thats where we would most likely go. try not to wait until the last minute to leave. i've heard of many stories from co-workers of it taking 7 hours to get to atlanta or nc. we've fortunately have not been through a bad hurricane in the last 3 years. i'd probably go buy some plywood 4'x8' boards to cover the windows. thats about it.
if a hurricane is threatening we make sure we're stocked up on water & canned food. milk & bread fly off the shelves quickly, so be forewarned.
