Re: Preg Mamas
A bedroom...
haha
I'm a little bitter about signing a 9 month lease on a one bedroom apt and then 2 weeks later finding out that I was pregnant. Haha oh well, it will all work out just fine.
As soon as I found out I was pg I focused on the stroller too. Then we went and looked at some and discovered that what I thought I needed was not the case. We are not getting a travel system because I don't like them. I have heard that swings are hit or miss with the kids just like a bouncy chair and both can be picked u so easily and cheaply from 2nd hand stores.
I admit while doing my FF draft last night I started setting up my registry. I don't like any of the bottles though.
The thing I have used the most is the Boppy pillows. After that would be bouncy seats and swings.
Now that they are 7 months we only use the bouncy seats occasionally-mostly to feed them, they don't really like sitting in them anymore. I still use the boppys daily and I think they will get used for a long time, just for the boys to lounge on. We use them now for feeding bottles and also to sit around them while they sit up. It gives them a little support and cushion to hit if they topple over.
When looking for strollers think about what type of places you will use it. Malls and shopping or outdoors/rougher terrain? Consider the storage basket underneath, is it big enough/easily accessible? Also, how often will you use it? That might dictate how much you want to spend. For us we are almost always forced to use a stroller instead of a shopping cart, and since there are two of them I'm spending more money on a stroller I can actually manuever without breaking my back!
Hope this helps!
