Is this possible?

Hello!

California nestie here! My husband and I have a 3 1/2 hour layover in Chicago on Saturday 9/12. Would that be enough time to see anything in Chicago or am I kidding myself? Thanks for any advice!

Re: Is this possible?

  • In my opinion, that is not enough time.  Traffic is so unpredictable.  It could take you 1 hour alone just to get from the airport (assuming O'Hare) to downtown Chicago.

  • You'd probably have enough time to get on the blue line, go downtown for about 30 minutes and then get back on the blue line to go back to O'Hare. It takes about an hour each way on that train. It can sometimes go fast but mostly is drags asss!

  • Thanks for the info! I wasn't sure how far the airport was from downtown. Oh well!
  • You could take a cab to Woodfield Mall and spend 1-2 hours there depending on how much time you want to allow to go back through security.
  • Yeah I would say woodfield. 3 1/2 hours is cutting it close. You could take the blue line, that would be the fastest way, but you would have to lug around your luggage and everything...I would say hang out at airport
