H and I are looking for a great Mexican restaurant. Any recommendations? We are from Texas so we ate A LOT of Mexican food. We are in the Summerlin area, but are willing to travel for good food. : )
While we are talking about food... H really likes a good Chinese Buffet, any ideas?
Re: Good Mexican Food
I dont know of any good mexican but on Eastern in Henderson there is a place called El Jeffe's. DH and I always say we should go there but for some reason never have. Anyone ever try it?
There is also a mexican place on the strip outside Monte Carlo. Not sure if its the best mexican food - espically if you are from Texas but its a neat atmosphere.
There's also a super mex on Durango and 215, but it's just ok. I agree with El Jefe's, especially for happy hour. There are two locations--one near Galleria mall and one on St. Rose and Eastern--both in Green Valley/Henderson.
My favorite Mexican restaurants are a bit more expensive--Diablo at Monte Carlo and Border Grill at Mandalay.
I'll have to look it up for you, but there is a GREAT place off of Charleston and the 95 near the Premium Outlets. The area is a little "eh" but the food is great. I can never remember the name I only know how to get there.
Super Mex is great especially if you get a late night craving.
if you want Tex Mexican you cant find it out here.
El Jeffe's is gross (sorry been there a couple times its like a fancy American Mexican)
Mariscos Las Islitas is the best mexican food in town. Its on Las Vegas Blvd. and Civic Center. (2437 Las Vegas Blvd N, North Las Vegas, NV? - (702) 649-9198?) It will be on the west side of las vegas with a massive size with a clown's head. Its seafood mexican and i was the only white girl in the whole place. Everyone else was spanish so to me thats a good sign.
Another place I like is Casa Don Juan. They are off on main street and charleston. They are really busy during lunch hour.
Macyo's is always good. you can never go wrong. banana Margarita's are amazing there.
My Favorite [ thanks to my SO] is Frank and Fina's, its on grond canyon and the 215 [close to summerlin], its family owned and everyone is super nice, they even know are names.
