1. My house is trashed from the party this weekend and we have another home inspection tomorrow. ugh.
2. Although I'll be spendign my evening cleaning, i really wish i was going to see Inglorious Bastards - i heard it was awesome.
3. I'm really looking forward to spening 5 full days w/ A. Couldnt ask for a better anniversary gift.
4. I had a bagel for breakfast when I really should have had plain oatmeal.
5. looks like i'll be having a salad for lunch. blah.
6. i didnt go grocery shopping this week - therefore i have no idea what i'm gonna scrounge up for dinner.
7. we're such a last minute packers...i havent even given thought to packing and we leave in 2 days.
8. winning the lottery would be nice

1. I just spent 15 minutes on different websites trying to determine when my 2nd trimester starts. Each site gave me a different date.
2. Yesterday K started teaching at a university 3 hours away.
3. I think I might be getting sick.
4. My to-do list will shrink today.
5. I took part in an testing for a new t.v. show. The show sucked.
6. The IT guy at work just fixed my personal computer. Most people pay him in beers and coffee. He's charging me $100 -wth?
7. I really can't believe it's September already. This year is the quickest ever = I'm getting old.
8. Yup I definitely think I'm getting sick.
9. I need to drink more water.

1. OMG the bloating!
2. I have one pair of pants that I can zip and button...and by the end of the day, there's no hope for the button. Half of my pants I can't even zipper all the way, nevermind the button.
3. Got a B band, which is helpful, but sometimes the snugness around my belly is a little uncomfortale.
4. It feels early for this to be happening, but the bloat cannot be denied! You can even see it in the mirror.
5. Mild nausea. Treating with plain goldfish crackers, aka my new bffs.
6. Starting every day with a nice big fruit and yogurt smoothie. Heaven.
7. I am not at all motivated to do work.
8. Just read online today that Ilene Chaiken signed a deal with Showtime for a lesbian reality show - like The Real World - called the Real L Word. Pardon me while I vomit, and not because of m/s.
9. I cannot wait for the long weekend.
10. I would like to have ice cream for lunch. I love ice cream.

No, not the same one. Modern Family is the new show due this fall that has a gay male couple as part of the leading cast. I'm hope it's not that bad b/c it would be nice to have more positive gay characters on tv.
1. We have a preschool for the kids. They'll start Monday. Whoo hoo.
2. We toured another place this morning that we LOVED, but they don't have room for us. So, we'll go to the place in #1 till we get off of the waitlist.
3. I can't tell you how happy we are to be out of the business of having a nanny. It was wonderful while it lasted (and was needed) but we'll be saving somewhere between $750-$1000/month on childcare. Can you hear me singing with glee from where you are?
4. I am hoping to get a house cleaner with some of that savings. Actually, I am begging to get someone to clean the house.
5. L starts school again this week - and so it begins...my life as a single parent. It sucks.
6. I am starving and am contemplating eating my salad now (spinach, chicken, craisins, and goat cheese w/ balsamic. YUM)
7. Although I am thrilled for the kids to be starting school, it makes me nervous. It is the first time in their lives that we can't control most of what is going on/what they are exposed to. This is just the beginning, I know.
8. I wished I had stopped at Starbucks this morning on my way to work - there is one across the street from the preschool we toured this morning.
9. A reality L Word? Isn't that being done on Logo with Gimme Sugar?
10. I have a lot of clothes/equipment that I need to tag for the multiples consignment sale. Blech. I hate tagging - but love getting the check!
Oh it sounds awful. They said both men are overblown stereotypes. This reviewer said all of the characters were walking sterotypes - the queeny gay male couple, and the fast-talking latina woman, to name a few.

#1: Really? What were the different dates. Normally its either 12 weeks if you go by development, or 13w 3d if you are going by dividing your pregnancy in 3rds. I split the difference and said I was in 2nd tri at 13 weeks.
#2: So I know it was only her first day, but what did K think?

You're right about the dates. One went by development/12 weeks. The other was in thirds/13w3d and I can't remember the reasoning of the 3rd but it was 14 weeks. It's not a huge difference but I think my mom is getting eager to tell family. We'll probably go with 13 weeks.
K seemed to like her class. But she thinks the students (this is Master's level) are way more behind than at the university she taught previously. They don't know a lot of the basic stuff that they should by now. So she may re-work her syllabus a bit to incorporate more basic Public Policy knowledge. Other than that it seems good. She has her own office and she is the only adjunct professor that they gave the copy room code to which make her feel special - lol!

Bloggity Blog - You know you want to...
1. My clients (that just gave birth Friday) had a lovely homebirth and an adorable baby. I got to see her yesterday at our first postpartum meeting.
2. I'm having lunch with my doula back-up partner today. Sushi and talking about birth!
3. After lunch I'm phonebanking for the Approve Referendum 71 campaign to get voter awareness up and hopefully save the expansion of my domestic partnership to be equal to-but separate from-straight marriage.
4. C is going to the Bay Area to visit friends this weekend and I'm going home to visit my family and spend some time with my sister before she starts 7th grade.
5. Either the second or third weekend in Sept C and I are going to the beach for a weekend getaway!
6. We're also going in on a room of a cabin at the beach with a group of our friends who won it in a charity auction. One couple is moving away so we're buying them out. It has to be used this year and I]it should be fun, but I hope it works into our schedule soon-ish and without interfering with ttc.
7. I have a ob/gyn appointment tomorrow for an exam. One of the last steps before ttc. (An hsg at the end of the month will be the last!)
8. Acupunture Thursday. I'm on so many TCM herbs right now and I hope they're doing what they're supposed to be doing cause my temps are a bit wonky (could also be sleep deprivation from the birth).
9. O expected this weekend. Most likely the last one before we actually try!
10. We really need to get our condo completely ready to be on the market. Why is time flying by?!
1. i am having a miserable day at work. miserable. and a miserable week.
2. things at home have been amazing.
3. we primed our bedroom on sunday, then last night we painted the ceiling.
4. tonight c's sister is coming over to help us paint the room.
5. man, that zero VOC paint is awesome! hardly any smell at all!
6. i'm waiting on the electrician to call me back about the nursery. we got the quote, we just have to figure out when he's coming and all that jazz.
7. i hope he can come this week or early next so we can start painting in there!
8. actually, i want to go home now and paint. that sounds so much better than work right now.
9. this saturday is her birthday and all she wants to do this weekend is nest.

1. Woke up late this morning whcich meant K only had 45 mins. to get dressed (it usually takes her an hour and a half!)
2. Checked my bank acct. and found out I got paid ALOT less than I was supposed to for a performance-- ah! the life of a perfoming artist. Glad K's job is more stable.
3.Spent an hour looking up elem. and preschools for the kid we don't have and won't have for another year.
4.Trying to start a grocery list in my mind at this moment
5. I'm excited about a cookie baking competion I heard about. I think I might enter.
6. Trying not to stress about having to go out of town twice in one month
7. Just realized I'm going to spend my day being a complete housewife: grocery shopping, cleaning the house, cooking dinner and baking test recipes
8. Hoping I can get to the lawn (if u can call the grass we have outside that) today.
9. I would also like to see Inglorious Bastards today (tues. is free movie day at clearview cinemas if you use cablevision), but house work is calling
10. I'm happy I actually did a REAL post today!!!! or at least a reply! YAY
1. I went on a field trip today for my science class. It was a beautiful park that I didn't know existed! Got swarmed by many mosquitos, though.
2. I was supposed to work out with a classmate, but I'm not feeling it, so I'm not going.
3. We're officially paying my tuition out of pocket this semester, so no more spending money for me
4. I would also enjoy winning the lottery. My co-workers and I have been talking about playing for like 8 months, but nobody ever buys tickets.
5. I have no excuse not to clean my house.
6. I *so* wish I could afford a pedi. Time is running out to wear sandals!
7. I adore fall. Thursday I have an early morning so I'm going to starbucks for a pumpkin spice latte
8. I've eaten out one meal a day for the past three days. What was that I said about not spending money?
9. I hope I'm not one of those teaches who starts out at 23,000/year. I could make that much at my current job if I worked full time.
10. Ten Things Tuesday always makes me realize what I spend too much time thinking/worrying about. It's good for me to type it all out once a week so I can try to rearrange my priorities!
1. We are in the process of buying a house! I'm freaking out. It's exciting, scary and nerver racking. I think the best part is that we get to 'rent' it for a year, then all of our 'rent' goes towards the asking price. This combined with our savings goals, will put us in the house for under 95K. And it's freaking ADORABLE!
2. I really want another dog, but due to the savings goals, it's not happening this year.
3. I'm a horrible person,and did a no show for an interview this morning.
4. I'm meeting up with the lady who runs the house for the guys i'm going to be working with tomorrow. It's a home with three men that have special disabilities. I'm really excited.
5. I hate that Julie works 2-10p. It makes me lonely. However, I can't complain b/c she LOVES it, and the income is nice.
6. I wish Julie hadn't made such poor choices before we got together. Her credit is bad, fixable but bad. So this next year that we are 'renting' the house, will be spent saving, scrounging, and fixing her credit. I just hope all the hard work pays off. -I know it will, the limbo just makes me nervous.
7. I still love my photography job. I just wish they didn't schedule me for only 2.5hours. Seriously? Thats not worth my driving in.
8. I can't wait to get out of my MIL's house. She is truly OCD, and I'm going nuts. I can't wait to do things my way.
9. However, as much as she bothers me she is VERY generous, and is taking Julie and I on her annual trip to Lake Okoboji this weekend, a cabin by the lake, hot cocoa, and good times. I can't wait!
10. I cut my hair. It's a short A-line bob, and I'm in love.

1. I started writing a story and actually finished it. I never thought I had the attention span to actually write something 18 chapters long.
2. D has been sick for 2 weeks now, doctors offering no answers and I'm worried.
3. Nobody understands my movie quotes posted on facebook.
4. I wish my hair would grow faster... I miss my long hair.
5. I am desperately searching for a decent bra. Finally got measured and called the lady a liar. haha. But then I listened and realized she was right. Hello, 38 DDD.
6. I would give anything to sleep through the night. Just once.
7. I'm excited to be housesitting for my parents next week.
8. I wish I could cook dinner everyday instead of eating fast food in the car.
9. I want children more than anything.
10. Relationships are hard. Duh.
Hope D gets better soon. That sucks when doctors don't have answers.
BTW, when I was trying to grow my hair out for our wedding (and also a little bit in preparation for ttc, of course) I took prenatal vitamins. It seemed to work, because my hair grew faster than it ever had in my life! I don't know what it is in the vitamins that makes hair and nails grow so fast, but there's always that option...
