A new co-worker's little brother, who is 29, is in the ICU at U of I hospitals. He had been having headaches for the past 5 days and then finally went to the local ER last night. They were about to send him home, they said everything was fine, then his BP skyrocketed. They found that he had a ruptured aneurysm in his brain. They airlifted him to IA city where he had surgery. Now he is in the ICU on a vent and unresponsive. Amy said that the Dr's don't expect him to live. What is really heartbreaking is that he is a single dad of 2 girls ages 4 and 11. So keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. Such a sad ordeal.

Oh my gosh!  That's terrible.

And, it's making me think I should go to the doctor...  I've been having terrible headaches for two weeks now and the worst one was last night.  I had to get up at 5:30am just to take some aspirin to sleep.  It was the worst headache I've ever had and I almost woke DH up to take me to the ER.

I really hope your CW's brother is okay - T&P for them.

Thanks, ladies. I guess he had another surgery today to remove more blood clots. I guess the Dr's are saying he probably has at least 2 more surgeries in the near future. I just feel so bad for Amy! She said she is pretty close to him. I know that if it were one of my brothers, I'd just be a mess. Really makes you think about things, you know?
