Restaurant Week in San Diego?
Re: Restaurant Week in San Diego?
I am!!! We have our reservations at the Marble Room and are still deciding on one other restaurant.
We always participate since it's a great way to try a new restaurant.

I would LOVE to but the ones I'd be interested in trying seem to have no vegetarian choices for the main entree...
shame on them...! (lol Kidding, of course!)

I think we're the only ones not excited about restaurant week. We went to AR Valentien last night and called ahead to make sure we can still order off the regular menu, since we are not interested in the restaurant week menu and they assured us we could. What they failed to mention was that the regular menu is extremely limited and they removed most of the items we are used to having there.
I wish it wasn't extended, and we will avoid the participating restaurants until this is over. The menus are just way too limited. We've tried many of the restaurants that participate during non RW, and have never eaten the stuff that's part of RW. The menus are so limited that you can't really get a good idea of what the restaurant really has to offer.
We went to the Marble Room and it was great! They had a bunch of choices for each course which was surprising since most places only offer a limited menu.
I doubt we will go to any other restaurants though. Some of the restaurants aren't very exciting.
