Anyone have special plans?

I'm bummed because I dropped the ball on planning a camping trip for this weekend, and now I really can't think of anything fun for us to do to take advantage of the 3-day weekend. Blah. 

Oh well, I'll just have to start working now at planning something fun/special for a random weekend in October and for around the holidays.

Nothing special.  I friend's birthday party but that's all I can think of. K will likely spend most of the weekend working on her dissertation.

Well, since we have to send the duo to school on Tuesday in 'big boy underwear' and not the pull-ups that they have been wearing, we'll be cold turkey potty training. AGAIN. BLECH.

We're going to be going to our former babysitter/friends house to let the kids play in a sprinkler thing they bought them and we were going to swim in their pool, but it isn't supposed to be overly warm this weekend.

Sometime in there, we need to go to Target to let the kids pick out new sheets/blankets for their new school (for their cot) and get some little containers for their lunch since we now have to pack a lunch.

 

Oh, yea - and we'll be talking up school BIG TIME. Can you see where our focus is?

I will do the usual honey-do's, plus take pup-pup to the groomer. I definitely have to work on my dissertation, but I pray to allow enough time to pick up some of DW's favorite take out and snuggle watching some cheesy show on TV. MY PLAN for C is that she spend the majority of the weekend resting...she may have other plans...but maybe if I promise her breakfast in bed . That's about it.

A cabin at Lake Okoboji in the VERY northern part of Iowa. I've never been, but I'm VERY excited. I'm looking forward to sitting on the deck, looking at the lake drinking hot cocoa, it's suppose to be a bit chilly.

We're going to New York for 5 days. We plan to do lots of sightseeing, shopping and to hang out with my BFF and her husband. I haven't seen my best friend in about 4 years so of course I'm really excited..

it's her birthday on saturday! she said all she really wants right now is to get things done at home. we're also hoping to get to the baby store to do more with our registry (since we mostly just focused on getting the bigger things on there and need to do some filling in and details).

we're going to try to go out for dinner saturday, but nothing fancy. she's working overtime both nights and the holiday, so we'll be taking it pretty easy.

we found out tonight that a friend is going to be in town for the weekend, so we're going to try to get together with her at some point, too.

i'm off monday for labor day, so i made an appointment at the gym that morning to get going on my new routine. it's time to change it up!

Nothing. And I'm so excited about since it's been a very stressful past few weeks. We've talked about going to Hershey Park, but I think we'll probably just lay around and relax.
