I just posted this on P&CE, but am going to post here as well. :-)
I am having a bit of a debate with some fellow Facebook ?friends? and I need some help. Someone posted that they are going to stop buying Ben-Jerry?s ice cream ?Hubby-Hubby?, because it supports gay marriage, but doesn?t Starbuck?s support gay marriage? I tried searching on Google, but I don?t really know what to look up? I know for a fact that every last one of them have a mild addicted to Starbucks? and just want to prove a point.
Here is the link this person is referring to.

Also, I support gay marriage, so I?m not trying to bash anyone or anything like that.
TIA!!
Re: I need some help!
Starbucks scored 100 out of 100 on HRC's rating of companies based upon lgbt-friendly policies (not necessarily supporting gay marriage - but supporting rights in other ways). Here's a link:

Though I will say that people have a right to boycott gay-friendly companies (that they know about), just as I have the right not to patronize anti-lgbt companies.
Good luck.

Seriously? I mean, if Ben or Jerry killed your dog or something, I can see boycoting them...but, because they support gay marriage?? (I don't really care either way, and I definitely don't care enough to stop eating Ben and Jerry's). Just seems rather silly to me. Are they going to boycott certain states? Countries? Where does it end??
That's what I was thinking.
That's an awesome arguement. I sorta do boycott certain states, by omission of my travel dollars
