What did you include in yours? What didn't you put in your birth plan than you now feel/know you should have? TIA.
Re: Birth Plan
I didn't have one either. I knew I wanted an epi and they wrote stuff on a dry erase board - who I wanted in the room, that I was going to breastfeed, etc.
IMO, if I had done one, most of the stuff would have just gone out the window.
My birth plan:
Safe Babies, Safe Mommy. The end.
I talked to all my Dr.'s and nurses and they all chuckled at the 10 page long birth plans in which 99% of all "plans" fly out the window once labor begins. They all said, and I agree, pick 3 or 4 things that are VERY important to you and let your wishes be known, but if for some reason they can't be granted just know its all for the safety of you and your little one.
Ditto!
My doctors said to just pick a few things that are most important to me and let the nurses know when I got to the hospital. For example, I knew I couldn't wear my contacts but I'm blind as a bat without my glasses (seriously, I can't even see colors without them), so wearing my glasses the whole time was super-important to me - I wanted to see my baby girl as soon as she was born! :-)
