Re: Football tailgating
We usually have an assortment of the following at our tailgates:
- Burgers, hot dogs
- Chips, dip
- Veggies / fruit platters
- Brownies
- Lots of beer (durr)
- Champagne / OJ for the morning
I'm sure I'm missing a LOT, but these are the basics...
We watch the games with a bunch of friends so we always make food that themes with who we are playing (for example, when we play Maryland, we make crabcakes, when we play North Carolina teams, we make BBQ, etc.)
This weekend we are playing Bama so we are doing a southern style menu - fried chicken, okra, collared greens, mac and cheese, etc. Sometimes it's hard to come up with food for places I'm more unfamiliar with but in those instances, I know I can always tap into the knowledge of the Nest ladies!
Our little Irish rose came to us on March 5, 2010
Don't drink the water.

This is cute!
Thanks! It is a lot of fun
I love buffalo chicken dip. There are a ton of different ways to make it. If you google it, you can pick which recipe sounds the best for your crowd. It's awesome!
As far as football food, I love chili. The very last home game of season, everyone we tailgate with has a chili cookoff. It's a lot of fun. At the end of it, we just throw them all together. Good stuff. And if we have a football party at our house, I almost always make chili.
