1. Most luxury/splurge/not-really-need item you've bought in the last month Well, we went to two concerts in August, but we bought the tickets months before.
2. Biggest ticket item bought in the last month Our iui!
3. Best sales/coupon/gc deal you've scored lately Probably C's most recent trip to the grocery store - she came back with a ton of stuff for what she spent!
4. Last thing you bought with a credit card (not debit) Gas
5. Last thing you bought with cash Milk that I keep in the fridge at work for my cereal
---------------
Okay, I have lots of stuff! Our big news is that we sold my car! What great timing! It felt amazing to deposit that cash!
Now that we've got a bun in the oven, we have 3 main focuses:
1. NO CHARGING!!!! We have a little money on our cc leftover from our expensive summer (travel and concerts). We'll get it back to zero by the end of the month and then we are not charging anything other than gas and fast lane (that transponder thing for turnpike tolls).
2. Monthly Savings Goal - A while back we made a new page in our budget spreadsheet with a monthly savings goal. If we can meet the minnimum each month, we'll have the downpayment we want for a house by the time we want to buy. If we don't meet the minnimum one month, then it gets raised for the remaining months to compensate; if we surpass the min, then it gets lowered for the remaining months. I am really loving this. It's lets me see exactly how we are doing, so then I don't panic when we have to spend money on things - as long as we meet that minnimum, we're not hurting our plans, and if we can surpass the min, even better!
3. Pay Off the Car - When we move into a house in the burbs, we are going to need 2 cars. The goal is to get our Mazda paid off as soon as we can to get rid of that car payment. We'll probably trade it in and split the money between two more family-friendly cars - a small suv or wagon for me that we'll have a small monthly payment on, and some kind of sedan for C that we can hopefully pay for in cash.
Otherwise, I am already bargain hunting for maternity clothes (just browsing!), thinking about how I can buy a little at a time, and pay out of my monthly spending $ so it doesn't have to add too much to our budget. And I've got some great ideas for inexpensively converting our 2nd bedroom into a nursery in case we don't find a house before the baby comes. I know - it's early. But you know me - I'm a planner

1. Most luxury/splurge/not-really-need item you've bought in the last month. I guess it was the extra 4 samples of sperm, we don't really need it right now (DW is 4 months along), but he was about to run out, and it would be nice to at least try with the same one again later on. So we added to our stash. I'm kind of tight with money so maybe it was just the price that makes me feel like it is "luxury."

Oh, and Julie made some bad choices prior to our relationship, so we are finally paying off some of her cards in collections.
