sick of my co worker

She has more DRAMA in her life than anyone I know. Maybe even more than the soaps on TV. Lord have mercy and I am tired of hearing about it. Her 20+ year old son get a 14 year old pregnant. He is in and out of jail all the time, and baby mama is supposedly trash and just as sorry as they come. Her H wont let her take her grandchild so he is in and out of foster care. Her other son is the star football player for some homeschool. She she takes off work to go watch him play.  And her daughter just m/c at 6 weeks and had a D&c yesterday because of it. I am sorry she M/C and would not wish that on anyone. But lord have mercy shut up already I am so tired of hearing about it/second I am tired of seeing both her patients and mine because she is out of work (with pay because dr feels sorry for her and all the drama) all the time. The other girls and I looked it up yesterday she has been out a total of 93 days this year!! Dont forget that is WITH PAY!!!! Anyway gripe is over!

Re: sick of my co worker

  • Don't you wish people like that would just shut up?  It's sad that they have to tell people all about their life to get attention like that.

  • Have you mentioned to your boss/manager/etc that she's been absent 93 days this year? If you figure it, she's been out 3 whole months out of 9... and we're only 3/4 through the year! In times like these I don't think putting it in those terms would be inappropriate. Someone needs to bring this to your Dr's attention (probably a manager, if you have one), esp if the rest y'all are disgruntled yet hard working and NOT taking off work to watch their son play football. I understand feeling sorry for her, but she's taking advantage of your Dr.

Other than that, I'm sorry about your CW prob. I've got one of my own that I'm working with, and I just found out that my only other coworker (who works even harder than I do) on my shift will be leaving in January. :( Taking on more patients because you're CW isn't working is incredibly hard.
