Re: Poll: What needlessly stressed you out during wedding planning?

  • I stressed out about how I would look (totally crazy about diet and exercise) and if I would be non-klutzy enough to move in my sari without completely embarassing myself.

In the end it didn't matter. I was a klutz, but that's me and why would it be any different for my wedding?

  • all.of.it.

I'm OCD and really surprised I didn't get an ulcer from that_shit.

  • I was worried about people seeing me taking pictures before the ceremony. Some guests arrived early and they were walking in as I was taking pictures out front. ?I ended up looking really tense in my portrait shots because I didn't want anyone to see me in my dress. Lame!

  • The people part of it stressed me out the most. We both have huge families so trying to manage a reasonable guest without blowing our budget on everything and still trying to keep both families happy was what did me in.
  • The stupid handmade fan programs. Entirely useless but labor intensive. What a waste of time.
  • Total family drama on both sides.  His grandma said she wouldn't come if step-grandma was invited.  And my grandma said she wouldn't come is a certain uncle wasn't invited. We won the battle with his grandma and lost the battle with my grandma.

  • Chair covers. LMAO.

No joke.  {cackling!} seriously- it's all so funny to me now.

    So lame!

  • after we settled on hawaii, i didn't stress over a damn thing.  i put that all off on the coordinator.

  • Even though my honeymoon location had a hurricane wipe it out days before my wedding and my rehearsal dinner location decided to shut down, I had a fairly stress free wedding planning experience.

    I am shocked I wasn't more of a wreck.

I wish I hadn't spent so much time on my DIY invites. As beautiful as they were, they were a huge waste of my time.

  • Not too much, actually. Some family drama but it wasn't a surprise. It is pretty silly what some people do stress about but of course you know you could never tell a bride that some random detail really doesn't matter at all. It ALL matters when you are planning a wedding :)
