Bloodwork questions? HELP
Anyone around that can help me out.
WBC 10.8 4.0 - 10.0
RBC 3.73 4.0 - 5.2
HGB 11.8 12.0 - 16.0
HGB 11.8 12.0 - 16.0
HCT 34.2 37 - 45
GRAN# 8.5 1.4 - 6.6
GRAN% 79% 36-66%
LY% 14 25 - 45%
These are my results of the following - with the normal ranges. I'm concerned because I've been taking prescription iron for anemia for four weeks without bringing my numbers into a normal range. I am extremely fatigued, having low grade fevers and some weight loss. My OB shrugs these complaints off and prescribed more iron.....
Any advice would be appreciated...thanks

Looks like you are responding to the iron (though it's hard to tell w/o iron studies as well) but you're closing in on normal for your hgb/hct.
If you're still feeling fatigued and having other symptoms, maybe you should check in w/ your regular family doctor, rather than the OB. While treating anemia falls under what an OB/GYN does, assessing all your other complaints really doesn't.
