US Nesties - Labor Day Plans?

Ah, my favorite holiday weekend of them all...Labor Day!  I love this time of year...as summer begin to fade into autumn (my favorite season of all).  I have plans for more "nesting" around the house, which will probably include busting out my sewing machine (see my blog for details).  DH has to work but we'll spend some QT together too.

What are your plans?

college football!!! WOOHOO!!!

also I'm going baby shopping with my mom and grandma on Sunday.  I need to put together a small registry since my MIL is throwing a shower for me when we go visit them next month.

Unfortunately, I am going to be working for most of the weekend - my 5th weekend in a row. 

I am hoping to at least do one or two projects around the house during "work breaks."

I'm really looking forward to it, too, especially since we have gorgeous weather right now!

Tomorrow we're having a picnic at the park with our friends and all the kids.

Sunday, DH, DS and I are driving to NJ to meet friends at the beach and then spending the night in NJ, driving home Monday morning.

We are having a football kick off party at our house tomorrow and then we need to pack for our cruise next week and then we will probably just chill.  But I'm sure MH will find some project to work on since he can't sit still.  We will probably end up going over to our land to bushhogg it before we leave.

definitely not my favorite holiday as i get so depressed that the days are getting shorter and that summer is coming to an end-fortunately we still have another month or so of really warm weather in so cal-anyway-we will of course go to the beach (i know sound like a broken record) a rib off on saturday night at our friend's house which should be interesting for me given that i am a veggie person....friends over for dinner on sunday night and some general around the house stuff-plus i consider this my anniversary as we got married sunday of labor day weekend....happy long weekend

My favorite season is fall, too!  MH thinks I'm crazy.  Eh, he's a child of the summer.  We're going camping again - same place we went for 4th of July but further in.  MH might yet make a backpacker out of his wife.  I'm just hoping no rain or it'll suck b/c we can't build campfires - been too dry a summer.

My SIL and my three nieces are coming to visit.  It's the middle one's 8th birthday, and when the older one turned 8, we brought her to American Girl Place for their special lunch and to pick out a doll.  So, now it's this one's turn.  I'm excited....I love having my nieces visit (even if my house does get wrecked!).

hoping to get to work on the nursery but otherwise nothing big planned.  I am working Sat...then DH is working 7am Sunday until noon on Monday so he'll be pretty tired on Monday

No concrete plans for the weekend... which is just how I like it!  I'm sure we'll be busy but it's soooo hot here (in the high 90's) that I'd be just as happy bumming around the house.
