Hi there,
My name's Kristin and I'm from Norfolk. I usually post on the What's Cooking board, but I've finally had the chance to make it over here. It seems like there are a bunch of you from Hampton Roads - I look forward to speaking with all of you!

All tunnels infuriate me. I try to stay on my side of the water as much as possible - especially during tourist season! ..And don't get me started on the drivers here lol
This will be my 4th year here in Norfolk, orginally from Hartford, Connecticut.
I really dont' have any friends here (still), so it's really nice to meet you guys.
Gotta love a local board ) I think we all come on here in a sense of wanting to meet other people and make new friends. Or, I confess, that is part of the reason for me. The other part is advice. ;o)
In light of that - I've posted information on the G2G thread about the upcoming wine festival if you ladies want to chime in and put in your two cents, suggestions, etc.!!
I hope everyone is having a good weekend; I lucked out and got to spend 4 hours at the beach yesterday; it was just w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l. If you haven't discovered Sandbridge and Little Island, you need to. It's great to find a beach that isn't a tourist trap and crowded with said tourists. Not to mention the yummy little dairy that is nearby, Bergey's Dairy, we stopped on the way home and indulged in a waffle cone with their flavor of the season apple crumble, like apple crumble (esp. with the waffle cone) with vanilla ice cream. Yum yum!!
A little late but.. The rain was horrible. My backyard was a pond. I really like the cooler weather though.
