WANT...

THIS!

http://www.hushamok.com/

I wanted a babeh hammock for Maya but we never bought it for her and I REALLY want this for bubba #2! It's just SO expensive :(

I wonder if babies really DO sleep better in these? I've heard from mothers that their babies slept like a dream in them but, well, every baby is different and all that jazz. I'm leaning towards the notion that babies DO sleep better in them because of the 'cuddliness' of them and the 'rockiness' factor.

Re: WANT...

  • Hi T -

Totally cute!  We had Ella sleep in this rocker thing for the first 2 months. Our dr.wanted her to sleep on an incline since she was a premie, something about acid reflux and sleeping on an incline helps w/ digestion. She slept like a dream in it, and I think it was because of that snuggliness that you're talking about and the fact that newborns aren't big fans of sleeping flat on their backs..

Oh, and it's MUCH less expensive...

p.s.  She still uses it to sit in, so it's nice that its not one of those things you buy for the baby that they outgrow in 2 months.

  • Yeah, that's what is good about the hammock, it's on a slight incline so that, if they suffer acid reflux and the like, it can help.

Maya had a little rocker chair similar to the one you posted! It's totally wrecked now though because we used to feed her in it and it copped food ALL over it lol. Oh, and Maya kinda pulled stuff off it. So, I finally bit the bullet a few weeks ago and turfed it. We'll have to fork out more cash for another one now.

Reconsidered the hammock thingy I posted above. Even though I'd love to get it for this bub...he or she is really only going to be in it for 6 mths and $500 odd bucks is not worth those 6 mths that are gonna FLY by! If we had money to burn, sure, but like most people, we don't. Will keep putting on those lottery tix though!
