my brother has been unemployed for a really long time...he lives in beaverton and just went back to school for IT stuff. but is really looking for ANYTHING to make some money. he's in  a real bad position right now.

he has military background too.

i have his resume but if anyone knows of any leads even in say like a video store or something...we'll take it

I'm sorry to hear about your brother. The economy is really bad out here right now...I think we're the 3rd highest in the country. I've been UE myself for almost 3 months. I can only offer encouragement-hang in there.

another ditto. i'm having no luck whatsoever finding work we're actually really hurting for money right now as DH is in law school so we have zero income. i'm really sorry for your brother

Times are tough. My DH has been UE since the end of August. Have your brother check out websites like Indeed.com. They are job aggregators. I would think that IT is pretty popular and he should be able to find something in that field, but I guess it depends on what the "IT stuff" is that he does. A friend works for a company called WebMD that seem to be hiring IT people. Maybe he can check out their website?

IT jobs are actually really hard to come by as are any other jobs right now.  I feel for your brother.  My DH is in IT and has been laid off since end of January 2009 and still no job.  IT took a LOT of hits in the crappy economy so there are a ton of people applying for each job.

 Definitely check out indeed.com for postings and just keep trying.
