Never been to NY
Hello - I am a Colorado Nestie who is traveling (with DH, BIL and SIL) to Brooklyn to visit my little sister at LIU. None of us have ever been to NY before and would like some recommendations about what to do. We only have a short time, fly in Friday, leave Sunday and little sister has games at 1 and 5 Saturday and 2 on Sunday. We will probably be staying close to campus, but will travel to must see/do's! TIA for your recommendations! We can't wait to visit. (I will post on the NYC board too)

It depends what you like to do. Statue of Liberty/ Ellis Island is always good. Southstreet Seaport, Times Square. And there are always museums but if your time is limited because of her games maybe best to save them. Have Fun!
If you go to Little Italy go to Ferraras for Dessert it's my favorite : )
great resturant in Brooklyn called Aurora. Go check out a comedy club. if you like jazz music Fat Black *** Cat and Blue Note are both great. Merchants is a great spot for drinks (its accross the street from Dangerfields Comedy Club) and they also have music at nights and its a cigar lounge. Brooklyn also has a few really great microbreweries if you are into that kind of stuff. its going to rain all weekend so try not to make any plans to the parks. Seven is near Madison Square Garden and is also a great place for Tapas and drinks. If you like Sex and the City there is a place in Chelsea called Cafeteria-they filmed the show there that place has great food and is 24hrs, its very trendy. Also they are filming the movie now near Bergdorffs-DH passes the set every day to go to work. There is a great drag club called "lips" thats always tons of fun.
