And oh what a wedding it was.
Strangely enough, I don't have any pictures of me (because I was the one taking all of the photos on my camera, I suppose), but I promise to post some once I get them from others. In the mean time...
The cake table (and yes, the cake is made of Twinkies):

During the ceremony, (officiated by an Internet Reverend in ducky footie pajamas), the Bride and Groom lit their unity candle, which upon lighting, burned a mini-version of the Burning Man:

After the ceremony, the guests surprised the Bride and Groom by lighting 5 "wish lanterns"...

...which the happy couple wished upon as they were set afloat into the night sky:

A few more photos of the lovebirds before leaving the camera behind and heading out to "the reception," which was DJed by world famous DJ Armen Van Buren. ![]()
Re: PIP: Back from Burning Man!
Footy pajamas and hot pink metallic body suits! What else is there to say?

It WAS quite the experience!
We were in the desert for 5 days. We drove down in a cargo van with all of our stuff and set up tents for our little camp of 4. We had a primary shade structure which we set up like a living room, a kitchen shade structure, and two separate bedroom tents. We got pretty lucky with the weather -- not too many dust storms -- but it is pretty crazy hot during the day.
I found that dawn was my favorite time to get up and explore (while others were still up from the night before!) Then I'd nap during the hottest part of the day, then eat and hang out with my camp at sunset, then stay out pretty late, but still go to bed long before sunrise (when I would get up and explore again).
I have lots of friends who go every year so I had a pretty good idea of what to expect, but I'm really glad I went. I think it's something that everyone should do at least once. The art is mind-blowingly amazing. The only thing that really bummed me out was the porta-potties. MH is already talking about going again -- but next time in a cushy RV!
