For those looking for Vick to "Prove it"
Re: For those looking for Vick to "Prove it"
Not enough. His talks are court ordered. And everything I've read from those who have actually attended say he's there no more than 10 minutes and speaks to very, very small groups.
It's good, but not good enough. As far as remorse or a genuine desire to make a difference, still not seeing it.
I want to know why shelters are so stubborn to refuse his donations. The animals sure don't care where their food, medical care and shelter comes from.
Who cares if he's required to donate or not? Would you rather more animals be put down because the shelter can't afford to keep them? It's a shame that they won't take his money.
No matter how much he does to "prove" himself, there will be people who believe that it is not enough. It is hard to change the minds of people who are very strong in their beliefs. What is important is that he proves to himself that he is a better man today. You can fool others, but you can't fool yourself.
You summed up all my thoughts on the topic with that one line, well said!

I would agree with this provided that he actually truly is sorry and recognizes what was wrong about his actions and not just necessarily saying it was wrong because some publicist told him what to say to smooth things over to try to clean up his image/brand.
In the end it doesn't really matter to me...I think of him with the same disgust as I would anyone who would harm an animal for their own jollies.
