Hey guys! My hubby and I are looking at two different apartments and having a hard time decided. I was just wondering what the area around E Grace Street is like where they are building the new theatre? Anyone know anything about safety, things to do, etc? Much appreciated!
Re: Richmond Downtown Area
I'm not quite as familiar with downtown, but VCU is nearby, so there should be a lot of restaurants and bars you can check out. Shockoe Bottom and Shockoe Slip also aren't too far from you as well (lots of good eats).
Downtown has a bunch of museums you can check out (Science Museum, Art Museum, etc). I'm not sure about safety since I don't generally drive down there that much...
HTH!
That would be a neat place to live, but I'd be a little concerned about just wandering around at night, but other than that you should be fine. Would you have to park somewhere that you would need to leave the building to get to your car? That would make a huge difference to me. That area has changed a lot in the last few years, VCU is really making an effort to make the downtown area a lot nicer, and I would guess it will continue to become a more popular place to live.
Just out of curiosity, where is the other apartment?
Jen
