On Saturday my DHs sunroof broke. He opened it up while driving (on a day when there had been rain...doofus) and when he went to close it, the motor was shot. He checked around and it looked like it was going to cost about $400 to get it fixed. (and they couldn't manually get it closed without messing things up) A simple annoyance to me that this was over a SUNROOF.
Anyways, he's been parking in my garage (we only have one garage spot at our apt) but today he parked outside. I pulled up and parking across from him. I strangely noticed that the top of his car was all shiny, as if the glass had been closed on the sunroof. So I got all giddy thinking he started the car and it worked. No such luck. I got upstairs and he had no idea what I was talking about. We both assumed the light was hitting the car wrong or something.
Later he went down to his car. The sunroof was closed. I didn't do it, he didn't do it, and hell the thing was broken! But somehow my DH has a neighbor guardian angel or something who knows how to do this, because his sunroof is no longer open permanently.
I'm really pleased that we don't need to get it fixed now, he'll just never open it But it slightly creeps me out that somehow it got closed without us knowing about it.
