G'ville/Simpsonville girls--need rec
Ok--I moved here in June and so far I've figured out what OB/GYN, pediatrician and chiropractor (DH) to use but haven't found a regular general practice doctor.
Hillcrest family medicine is who I tried to get an appointment with and the receptionist said no new patients. WTF??? Even though BCBS provider finder says they are.
I don't mind going into G'ville but I'd prefer to stay in S'ville, Mauldin or even Fountain Inn...I just need a recommendation. I've been checking them all out on ratemds.com but can't find too many of them on there. And the ones I am finding have negative remarks which crosses them off my list.

Wow! Hillcrest Family Practice isn't taking new patients. Its nice to see they've finally realized when they needed to quit. I've watched my wait time balloon from an acceptable 30 minutes to a ghastly hour and a half or more.
I know some other ladies tend to go to Doctors Care on Fairview Road. I've also started going there for when I just don't feel well. Although they are first come first serve, the wait times are always really reasonable. That will at least give you an option of someplace you can know where to go right now if you get sick, while you continue to shop around.
My husband and I go to Simpsonville Family Medicine.
If you need an internist (sp?), I suggest Melanie Greene and her office is on Hwy 14 near Maxwell Pointe (Woodruff Road area).
